The book was well written and easy to follow. It left you guessing all while teaching you new vocabulary! A 9 year old would easily understate the plot but might need to research some vocabulary!

I got this book for my niece and she loves it, I look forward to purchasing more books from this author.

Spying, mystery, a circle of support, secrets, treason. A wonderful book that while you don't have to have the next book on hand it is well appreciated to get more of A.L. Tait's stories. Allison is definitely one of my favorites and this series isn't far from her others.

This book reinforces why I think A.L. Tait is my favorite PaperPie chapter book author. Imagine a setting with castles and knights  paired with mystery and unlikely partnerships. I hope we have more than two Maven and Reeve Mysteries in the future!!
